Magicians and the elderly ladies

What's the one thing common with magicians and elderly ladies? And only with those two alone.
Both still carry coin purses in the year 2024.
I would suggest that the people performing coin magic would congregate at the next magic event, and try to come up with some other way of storing your precious copper and silver.
All that cool and hip vibe one has achieved by dangling colorful rubber bands around one's wrist will instantly evaporate once the good old coin purse is whipped out.
