What we want is right there
5. September 2024
There is this idea amongst people who have ADHD, me included, that a lot of things that would make our lives better could be literally done in and hour or two, but yet somehow we are unable to do that.
Filling in the dishwasher takes 5 minutes. Yet I always end up using all my clean glasses, plates, pans, pots etc. And only when those have been depleted, I get the motivation to spend the 5 minutes filling up the dishwasher...
What this has to do with magic?
Care to take a guess?
It would take two hours to come up with a script for an effect you like to perform.
It takes half an hour of practice for 5 days to learn a new move.
It takes one hour per day for a week to learn Mnemonica or a similar stack.
The examples are endless.
But, yet we still fail to do so.
Why?
Literally we could change ourselves as magicians in two weeks, with only few hours of work per day. Yet, we can't do it.
I have ADHD. What's your excuse?
