Trick or Die

Redrum

Redrum

Redrum is as much a super entertaining routine as it's a POWERFUL SECRET WEAPON in your arsenal.

At first glance, it's a detective themed impossible card location effect in which the performer finds the participant's card by eliminating all the cards the participant didn't select.

It's a highly entertaining performance piece which the audiences love, and it leaves them totally fooled.

The effects is completely impromptu, starting from a shuffled deck. It borrows it's base premise from Pit Hartling's Sherlock.

Under the surface, Redrum hides a DIABOLICAL SECRET. During the effect you're able to stack the deck for yor next effect / effects. You can follow Redrum with routines like Out Of This World, Juan Tamariz's Neither Blind Nor Stupid, John Bannon's Play It Straight Triumph, Simon Aronson's Shuffle Bored, Theodore Annemans Par-Optic Vision, and many more!

"The idea is excellent. Not only do you find a freely selected card, but you also have a great plot that allows you to openly stack for an upcoming trick."
"This is an awesome effect. Nicely scripted, super useful. Definitely recommend!"
"I love your thinking of turning Sherlock into a non-stacked deck trick, to then get INTO a stack/set-up."
"I really enjoy Redrum! I most definitely will be using the framework. Getting the cards into a setup from a shuffled deck is no longer an issue. Just do it in front of the spectators as part of a this routine. Redrum really opens up the jazz/impromptu possibilities of strong demonstrations, not limiting to a hard script of events or deck changes."
"I really like the presentation. It's a very clever way to get to a stack from a borrowed deck, nicely done!"
"I like your method. Your presentation for the reveal is great!"
"Stacking the deck during a previous trick in this way is great. The number of cards you want to stack for your next trick can be as many as you want. It's really a fantastic idea.
"This allows you to set up a deck in front of the spectators. Very handy thing to keep in the back of your mind, I will get some use out of this one."
